Women of all ages are encouraged to take part in the educational programming offered at Mercy Comfort Health Center for Women. Sessions will take place on the first Thursday of each month, and will cover a variety of women’s health topics. Topic: Cognitive Health for Aging
Presented by Valerie Stickel-Diehl, RN, MS, MSCN, Neuroscience Case Manager, Mercy Ruan Neurological Center
How can we practice brain wellness as we age? Can we change the natural aging process? Ms. Stickel-Diehl will share brain health perspectives from behavioral neurologist, Dr. Hieke Schmolck. You will also learn lifestyle tips to develop new habits and improve your memory.
“The Change” Group is a unique support group specifically for women experiencing the signs, symptoms and ongoing effects of menopause. This group meets on the second and fourth Thursdays of each month, beginning Thursday, August 10, at 4 p.m. in Conference Room A at Mercy Comfort Health Center for Women. Denise Edwards, LISW, will provide general education on women's health issues and will lead a group discussion for all participants. Women are welcome at one or all sessions, and all meetings are confidential. The cost is $10 per session, which will be collected upon arrival. Registration is required.
