Iowa Diabetes and Endocrinology Center (IDEC) is the largest endocrine practice in the state of Iowa, providing comprehensive health care services to adult patients diagnosed with diabetes and hormonal disorders.
IDEC employs eight board-certified endocrinologists, as well as a physician assistant and three nurse practitioners. IDEC is recognized by the American Diabetes Association (ADA) for its diabetes program. IDEC works collaboratively with Certified Diabetes Educators at the Mercy Diabetes Education Program.

Additionally, the Mercy Diabetes Education Program works with patients at the main Mercy campus and throughout the Mercy clinic system to provide support and education on controlling diabetes and living a healthy lifestyle.
