Mercy Medical Imaging Services

The Medical Imaging Department at Mercy offers cutting-edge technology in diagnostic and preventative imaging—including digital mammography. Mammograms are important in the early detection of breast diseases, including breast cancer. Mercy is also the only mammogram provider in central Iowa to offer the Mammopad®, a special foam pad that provides a softer mammogram.

Gynecologic Surgery

Mercy provides many minimally-invasive surgical options including the da Vinci® surgical robot. Robotic surgery is available for hysterectomies, gynecologic cancer surgery and uterine fibroid removal.  Robotic-assisted surgical procedures result in fewer stitches, less blood loss, less pain and faster recovery.

Mercy's Women & Infants' Center features all the comforts of home with the most advanced technology and experienced nursing staff to give you the highest level of care and the peace of mind you deserve. You and your baby will have access to the best available services–including specialized labor and delivery rooms; recovery suites; Maternity Triage and Treatment Unit; Variety Neonatal Intensive Care Unit; and support from on-site lactation consultants.
