DES MOINES, Iowa—Katzmann Breast Center is pleased to announce it has received a three-year full accreditation from the American College of Surgeon’s National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC).
To achieve the designation, Katzmann Breast Center met or exceeded standards established by the NAPBC for treating women who are diagnosed with the full spectrum of breast disease. The standards include proficiency in the areas of: center leadership, clinical management, research, community outreach, professional education, and quality improvement. NAPBC said Katzmann Breast Center demonstrated a firm commitment to offer its patients every significant advantage in their battle against multiple types of breast disease.
“We are the only comprehensive breast center in central Iowa focusing exclusively on breast disease to receive this accreditation,” said Katzmann Breast Center Medical Director Susan Beck, D.O., FACOS. “I would like to thank our dedicated multidisciplinary team who work hard each day to deliver comprehensive care at this level of excellence.”
Katzmann Breast Center staff includes surgeons, radiologists, medical imaging technicians, nurses, a nurse practitioner, a patient navigator, a genetic counselor, and therapists. All are dedicated to providing the best breast health experience for women in central Iowa.
