Patient Resources

Patient appointments are available at Mercy Arthritis and Osteoporosis Clinic Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. If you need to speak with a provider after regular business hours, please call (515) 643-9699 to have the answering service route your call to the on-call provider.

Medication Refills

Patients will need to be evaluated by a physician before medication can be prescribed. If you are currently taking a regular medication for a specific condition, you may need laboratory testing before refills can be authorized. Arrangements can be made with the clinic for the appropriate tests by calling (515) 643-9699.

Fees, Insurance and Payment

Fees for office visits vary, depending on the scope of care and the time required for evaluation and treatment. Laboratory and X-ray services are additional charges not included in the office visit fee.

Mercy Arthritis and Osteoporosis Center accepts most insurance plans. Please refer to your insurance provider directory for a complete list of participating physicians and verify that your insurance plan is accepted when calling to schedule an appointment. If your insurance is a co-payment plan or it is one in which our clinic does not participate, we ask that you pay at the time of service. If your insurance plan requires you to have a referral, please obtain this referral from your primary care physician prior to your scheduled appointment.

If you have questions about your bill, please contact a patient account representative at (515) 643-2519.
