Mercy Behavioral Health provides a case management approach to patient care. The case manager is assigned to assist clients to get the most appropriate care. The case management approach provides for:

  • Efficient, cost-effective care

  • Optimal clinical outcomes of treatment

  • Ongoing assistance to patient care needs

Inpatient services are available for adults and children/adolescents who have major, acute mental illness and are referred to this program by a psychiatrist. Programs are intense and structured, emphasizing short-term intervention, individualized treatment, effective discharge planning and follow-up care.

Partial hospitalization programs for adults and children/adolescents are offered as outpatient services during the day. Patients attend therapeutic groups. Children and adolescents in a partial program will spend part of their day in school. This program also assists in the transition from hospitalization to community living.
