When treatment requires mental health and substance abuse services, the caring and experienced staff at Mercy Pediatric Neurology and Psychiatry Center is there for young children, adolescents and teenagers, and their families.
A multidisciplinary team of professionals uses a patient-focused approach, offering services such as hospitalization, outpatient treatment, family therapy and group therapy and counseling.
Mohammed Aldosari, M.D.
Dr. Aldosari received his medical degree from College of Medicine, King Saud University Riyadh in Saudi Arabia. He completed pediatric residencies at King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Center in Saudi Arabia, and at the University of Minnesota. Dr. Aldosari also completed a pediatric neurology fellowship at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, North Carolina. Dr. Aldosari was recently a consultant and head of pediatric neurology at King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Center, associate professor at Alfaisal University and director of the Center of Autism Research, all in Saudi Arabia.
Dr. Aldosari has a special interest in behavioral disorders, including autism and ADHD; spasticity management; and epilepsy. He also cares for children with seizure disorders, developmental delay, migraine headaches, Tourette syndrome and Cerebral Palsy.
Sasha Khosravi, D.O.
Dr. Khosravi is a graduate of Des Moines University–where he currently serves as an assistant professor. He completed his general psychiatry residency and child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship at Barnes-Jewish Hospital and St. Louis Children’s Hospital through Washington University in St. Louis. He holds board-certification in general psychiatry, child and adolescent psychiatry and psychosomatic medicine. In his role as a mental health consultant for Des Moines Pubic Schools, Dr. Khosravi is in charge of educating staff and development of therapeutic classrooms at Lincoln and East High Schools to help children with mental health impairment graduate from high school.
Joyce Vista-Wayne, M.D.
Joyce Vista-Wayne, M.D., is a pediatric psychiatrist at Mercy Pediatric Neurology and Psychiatry Center. After graduating from CEBU Doctor’s Hospital in Cebu City, Philippines, she went on to complete residencies at University of California-Irvine and UCLA Medical Center. She holds board-certification in general psychiatry and child and adolescent psychiatry.
Rahul Bansal, M.D.
Rahul Bansal, M.D., is a pediatric psychiatrist at Mercy Pediatric Neurology and Psychiatry Center. After graduating from University College of Medical Sciences in Delhi, India, he went on to complete residencies at Wayne State University before completing his fellowship training in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the University of Michigan.
