Mercy is excited to share our new pediatric unit with the community. These photos show what families can expect when they are in the hospital.

In the reception area just off the elevators, an interactive mural created by artist Koryn Rolstad allows children to push a button to hear animal sounds.
Hallway Family Waiting Room
The hallway leading to the unit is bright and colorful, depicting children in all seasons. A quiet family waiting area outside of the unit is a perfect place for families and visitors to gather.
Hallway Patient room
Natural light brightens up the hallways in the new unit, making it a happy and inviting place for children. 22 new patient rooms–with space for a parent to stay by their side and private bathrooms–provide an environment just for children.
Family Room Activity Room
A family lounge with seating and a TV is a good place for parents and families to relax during their stay. The Activity Room offers fun things for hospitalized children of all ages. The unit's child life specialists provide craft activities, board games, video games, toys and more for patients.

The Ronald McDonald Family Room is located just down the hallway from the entrance to the pediatric unit. The Family Room contains three private bedrooms (pictured) for parents of pediatric and pediatric intensive care unit patients to stay in on a day-by-day basis. For parents who have a longer stay, the Ronald McDonald Family Room lounge provides a relaxing environment.

The Ronald McDonald Family Room includes a kitchen/eating area where snacks are provided for parents and they are able to prepare a quick meal.
