Mercy Ambulance Service

Mercy AmbulanceMercy Ambulance is a hospital-based ambulance service licensed to provide Critical Care Transport. Our service operates twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week to meet the needs of our customers.

Mercy Ambulance provides advanced pre-hospital and interfacility care to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.  Our ambulances are mobile intensive care units capable of transporting a variety of patients from neonates to critically ill. Our staff includes 35 Paramedic and EMT-Basics with a combined 300 years of experience.

Services Offered by Mercy Ambulance Service

  • Regional Hospital Support including transporting patients back to Des Moines-area hospitals.
  • EMS Provider Support including change of quarters, tiers and mutual aid assignments.
  • Community 911 coverage

Mercy Ambulance Service is owned and operated by Mercy Medical Center – Des Moines. The ambulance service is based at Mercy’s central campus in downtown Des Moines.
