Mercy Heart Hospital combines the region’s leading cardiologists and surgeons with the state’s leading cardiovascular hospital. The hospital is a partnership between the Iowa Heart Center and Mercy Medical Center - Des Moines.

Mercy Heart Hospital offers Central Iowa’s only pediatric cardiology and heart surgery program. Pediatric cardiologists from Pediatric Cardiology P.C., working with Iowa Heart Center surgeons, perform 100 heart surgeries each year on children, many in their first year of age.
