Mercy Medical Center – Des Moines is a training site for medical students and physician assistants from Des Moines University, but also offers opportunities for medical students from other schools to rotate with our Internal Medicine Residency Program as part of their evaluation of residency opportunities.

• "Audition rotations" for fourth year medical students are available during the months of August through mid-December each year. Although the auditions are not required for application to the program, they are a great way to determine a "good fit." We accept applications for the audition rotations starting January 1 each year, with invitations to participate extended by April 1. Read the Application Instructions for Audition Rotations, then submit the required Audition Rotation Application, which is coordinated by the Internal Medicine Residency Program office.
• Third year medical student rotations are available mid-December through May on a first-come, first-serve basis. These are coordinated by Abby Hubbard, Medical Education Coordinator, (515) 643-2682, ahubbard@mercydesmoines.org.
• All rotations are scheduled in 4-week blocks to accommodate our master student schedule. Block schedule for 2013-2014 is as follows:
