Ultrasound and special biopsy techniques play an additional role in detecting and evaluating certain breast conditions including cysts, micro-calcifications, fibrocystic breast disease, mastitis, problems with implants and cancer.

Katzmann Breast Center’s diagnostic services include fine needle aspiration and standard surgical biopsy when necessary. Katzmann Breast Center works closely with Mercy Diagnostic Imaging services to include high quality mammography, ultrasound, ultrasound core breast biopsy and stereostatic breast biopsy.

In addition, you can expect a timely and expert medical interpretation of the film or procedure helping to ease your anxiety about the results and to get you started with treatment as soon as possible if it is necessary.
