A primary goal of the Katzmann Breast Center is to ensure that all women in our community know about breast self-examination and mammography, and have the opportunity to be screened for breast cancer.

We also heartily support the efforts of various community groups in the fight against cancer. Our staff and physicians work with groups such as Susan G. Komen for the Cure and the American Cancer Society local chapter to raise funds and awareness for cancer research and services.

In addition, a bi-monthly breast cancer conference is held for health care professionals to keep them up-to-date on the latest in diagnosis, treatment and recovery. Katzmann Breast Center, along with the Mercy Cancer center, also sponsor an annual Breast Cancer Symposium each spring designed specifically for breast cancer survivors and related health care providers.
