Mercy Medical Center – Des Moines, Mercy Behavioral Services and Mercy Home Health have all been granted continuing accreditation by The Joint Commission.

A Joint Commission survey team made an unannounced visit to review the facilities, programs and services offered by Mercy. The team was in Des Moines April 7 - April 11. During each Joint Commission visit, surveyors are given complete access to the participating facility and staff. Through a thorough process, the survey team observed the patient care that Mercy delivers to ensure quality and safety. 

The Joint Commission is an independent body of experts that evaluates and accredits about 15,000 health care organizations and programs in the country. Mercy Medical Center participates voluntarily in the survey process.
