Mercy Clinics breaks ground for new east side clinic

On July 14, Mercy Clinics broke ground for a new medical office building that will expand access to clinical care services in east Des Moines. The new one-story 17,300 square foot office building will be built directly east of the present Mercy Capitol Medical Office building located at 1300 Des Moines Street.
“We are proud to invest our resources in the downtown and East Des Moines community,” said Dr. David Swieskowski, CEO, Mercy Clinics. “We are committed to serving our patients at this location and adding additional services that will help to serve new patients in the future.”
The facility will include medical offices for Mercy Capitol Internal Medicine and Mercy East Village Family Practice. A new Urgent Care with expanded hours will also be opened. Additional services may be added after the building is complete.
The building is expected to be complete in early 2010.
