Family remembers infant through Halo®Sleep Sack donation

Baby Taryn Suzanne Tuttle’s memory continues to live on and flourish through a recent donation her family made in her honor. On Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2012, Taryn’s mom, Julie Tuttle, donated more than 100 fleece Halo® Sleep Sacks to Mercy, which will be given to babies born here. Taryn was born at Mercy on Nov. 3, 2009, and passed away on Jan. 25, 2010, during her afternoon nap due to Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS). Since 2005, the American Academy of Pediatrics has suggested the use of wearable blankets to help reduce the risk of SIDS. The Tuttle family received donations from friends and family to purchase the sleep sacks.
