Having joint replacement surgery may seem scary, but it is also very exciting, as it is being done to improve quality of life. The Mercy Knee and Hip Replacement e-newsletter provides patients with convenient and timely access to the information needed to help make the preparation, surgery and rehabilitation process easier and more comfortable.
This free e-mail communication services begins 13 weeks prior to surgery with a weekly e-mail and continue weekly until four weeks after surgery, then monthly until six months after surgery—almost a full year of information and support. Though the e-mails are patient-oriented, family members and friends are also encouraged to subscribe to the Knee & Hip Replacement e-newsletter.
Although each person's experience with surgery is unique and not all patients and doctors follow the same path, the most frequently-asked-questions can be answered throughout this series.
