Qualifications and Application

Applicant must be a graduate of an accredited College of Pharmacy and eligible for licensure in the state of Iowa.

  • To apply, complete the online application for "Pharmacy Resident."
  • Send a cover letter explaining your personal and professional objectives in fulfilling a residency. Include the following in your letter:
    • What are your career goals? (example: what do you see yourself doing post-residency?)
    • List the top three skills you want to learn during your residency.
    • Explain why you chose to apply for a pharmacy resident position at Mercy Medical Center.
  • Send a copy of a current resume or curriculum vitae
  • Forward a copy of your College of Pharmacy transcripts.
  • Distribute the recommendation forms to three professional references (pharmacy employers and/or clinical instructors). Be sure references are aware of the deadline. Residency Applicant Recommendation (PDF)* You will also need a written letter to accompany this completed form.
