Mercy Center for Rehabilitative Medicine (MCRM) is a 14-bed inpatient rehabilitation department designed to rehabilitate and restore independence to adult patients with neurological disorders, traumatic brain and spinal cord injuries, amputations, strokes and other impairments, such as muscular disorders, joint replacement surgery and fracture care. Other non-rehabilitation diagnoses are also considered on a case-by-case basis including those who are recovering from acute respiratory failure, cardiac failure or cancer.

Additionally, we strive to provide patients with the physical, social, emotional, vocational and recreational skills needed to reach the highest possible quality of life.

Accredited by the Joint Commission and by the Commission on the Accreditation for Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) for Comprehensive Integrated Inpatient Rehabilitation, the center’s interdisciplinary care team—which is led by a boarded physical medicine and rehabilitation physician—embraces a holistic treatment philosophy that not only focuses on providing the highest quality clinical care, but also a personalized treatment plan that will help you manages your physical, emotional and spiritual health needs.

Each member of the team offers a unique perspective in defining your current functional challenges and establishing achievable goals. Periodic team conferences, in which both patient and family members play a role, are held to coordinate therapies and discharge planning and to evaluate your progress.
