Mercy Center for Rehabilitative Medicine

Mercy Center for Rehabilitative Medicine (MCRM) is a 14-bed inpatient rehabilitation department designed to rehabilitate and restore independence to adult patients with neurological disorders, traumatic brain and spinal cord injuries, amputations, strokes and other impairments, such as muscular disorders and fracture care. Other non-rehabilitation diagnoses are also considered on a case-by-case basis including those who are recovering from acute respiratory failure, cardiac failure or cancer.

At MCRM, we understand that patients want to return to their homes and communities and be able to lead full, satisfying lives. Our mission is to maximize each individual’s potential through the promotion of health, healing and wellness. Additionally, we strive to provide patients with the physical, social, emotional, vocational and recreational skills needed to reach the highest possible quality of life.

A team approach to rehabilitation

Accredited by the Joint Commission and by the Commission on the Accreditation for Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) for Comprehensive Integrated Inpatient Rehabilitation programs, the center’s interdisciplinary care team—which is led by a board-certified physical medicine and rehabilitation physician—embraces a holistic treatment philosophy that not only focuses on providing the highest quality clinical care, but also a personalized treatment plan that will help you manages your physical, emotional and spiritual health needs.

Each member of the team offers a unique perspective in defining your current functional challenges and establishing achievable goals. Weekly team conferences are held to coordinate therapies and discharge planning and to evaluate your progress.
