The Mercy Brain & Spine Center opened in July 2009, expanding Mercy Medical Center - Des Moines’ neuroscience services to central Iowans. Our dedicated team of neurosurgeons provides patients with specialized care close to home.

Our surgeons’ spectrum of specialties is what makes our practice unique. We provide care for adult and pediatric patients—including newborns. Our practice also offers pediatric neurological services, such as treatment for spina bifida, brain tumors and epilepsy.
