Mercy School of Clinical Laboratory Science and Technology will be transferring its sponsorship from Mercy Medical Center-Des Moines to Mercy College of Health Sciences effective August 1, 2009. This change is part of a reorganization at Mercy Medical Center in which the hospital-based education programs are moving to Mercy College of Health Sciences. We will be applying for the change of sponsorship through National Accrediting Agency of Clinical Laboratory Science (NAACLS) in December 2008.

The high standard of education you have come to expect from Mercy School of Clinical Laboratory Science and Technology will continue now and in the future. Kyla Deibler will continue to act in the role as the Program Director/Program Chair. The program will maintain all of our academic affiliations. We will continue to accept six students per year into the program. The structure of the program will not change in that the students will continue to have classroom didactic lectures throughout the program year and rotate through the Clinical Laboratory at Mercy Medical Center-Des Moines throughout the year for the clinical portion of their education.
