Perioperative Services includes all services related to having surgery or endoscopy procedures. These services are offered on the Main Campus and at Mercy Capitol, on an inpatient or outpatient basis. Outpatient surgery is also provided at Mercy North in Ankeny.

Our customer-oriented, highly skilled team provides quality patient care during the pre-operative assessment, the operative or endoscopic procedure and the post-operative recovery phase. We offer services in all specialties, and utilize the latest technology to enhance the delivery of these services.

The Endoscopy unit was recently remodeled to provide increased patient privacy and a more customer-friendly environment. The Main Operating Room, Pre-Surgery area and Recovery Room are currently being remodeled with completion scheduled for June of 2008. These improvements enhance our ability to offer the best possible care to our patients and their families.
