Intuitive EatingIntuitive Eating is a program for the “chronic dieter”.  For more than a decade, the Intuitive Eating approach has helped chronic dieters and emotional over eaters overcome their struggle with their weight, without deprivation, guilt and obsession with food. This program teaches students how to have a healthier relationship with food, mind and body. The 12-week series takes a comprehensive approach to living a healthier lifestyle, teaching the ten principles of how to become an intuitive eater. 


Intuitive eaters learn how to eat based on physical hunger, instead of outside reasons such as time, schedule, stress and other emotional responses. As a result, intuitive eaters are able to return to their body’s natural weight and maintain it.

Mercy Weight Loss & Nutrition Center's Intuitive Eating program is led by Katie Kruger, R.D., L.D., a certified Intuitive Eating counselor. Based on a book by Evelyn Tribole, M.S., R.D.; and Elyse Resch, M.S., R.D., F.A.D.A; the program covers the Ten Principles of Intuitive Eating, including:
