The knowledgeable home infusion-care professionals at MercyOne Des Moines Home Infusion uphold the strictest nursing and pharmaceutical standards while providing compassionate care and respect. Our aim is your good health.

Your infusion-care staff will:

  • Thoroughly train you or your designated caregiver, with step-by-step instructions, about the use of infusion equipment and supplies.

  • Be present at each infusion until you or your caregiver can properly and safely administer therapy.

  • Regularly assess and monitor your response to therapy by obtaining laboratory samples ordered by your physician.

  • Recommend the appropriate infusion pump for your therapy.

Home infusions generally consist of one or more of the following:

  • Antibiotics

  • Analgesia (pain control)

  • Chemotherapy

  • Nutrition
