Kim Peterson, MSW, LISW specializes in mental health counseling at MercyOne Des Moines Behavioral Health. She sees patients at MercyOne Grand Avenue Family Medicine.

Kim provides therapy services to teenagers and adults who have concerns with depression, anxiety, trauma, abuse, family/parenting issues, relationship problems and life stressors. 

She uses a variety of therapeutic methods using a strengths-based approach. These modalities include: Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Solution Focused and Person Centered Therapy. Kim is also trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and ART (Accelerated Resolution Therapy).
